Earth + Lonely Connector?

Just wondering if anyone might be able to suggest where the earth should go?

Earth goes to chassis/earth anywhere nearby. Looks like it may reach to that empty bolthole on the right.
That connector looks fairly hefty so may have been for a leisure battery - you can only trace it back to see where it connects to start placing bets as to it's function.
