Looks like a fuel pressure regulator... but a plastic made one!! If so, could be this part number: 025133035...

I don't know the part number, but I believe its something to do with wading?

Looks a bit like the turbo vacuum thingeys you get on a tdi, so I guess something similar but on a petrol dg ??
E D I T ** looks damaged below the second inlet/ outlet ?

1. is it 025 129 714 ?
2. it is for wading allows the preheat warm air supply vacuum to the air box temp controlled flap to be routed so that flap's shut and won't open in the event of inlet flap's thermal control's temp dropping, 1.9 petrol only
3. broken spigot ? rough handling

but still available from classic new sensible money if I'm right on the part number

My Syncro has one fitted, and I asked on here what it was showing a photo of it. Can't remember who it was who told me what it was for now, but yes, wading

I disconnected mine, runs fine.

Thanks to Aidan's post I'm now going outside to re fit it

I forgot it was there while lowering the engine and it got bumped by the oil filler neck... Might just be able to repair it with a little screwed-in spigot, otherwise it's spendy time. But does seem a little pointless as the hot air pickup on the exhaust it long gone!

I removed mine as the hot air pick up was rotten.. its got the cold to warm air connections on the intake duct.. ducted together.. runs fine.. been like that for 6 years...
If you really must have it, i'll see if i can find my old one....

I do like an obscure part Would be nice to re-instate as it was a bit fluffy when cold last winter, tendancy to foul the plugs etc. but what to do about the GPO handset for the exhaust? How many 2wd buses must be out there without one, but 99% probably ever see cold weather so not worth reproducing

Syncro and velle never had them in my ownership.. only in very cold temps does it need a little warm up.. but that cold usually means ice scraping and de snowing alows enough time.. of course.. its only an issue on liquid gold.. LPG doesnt mind cold air..

Except for the warm air they like from the engine bay judging by the amount of LPG vans I see with most of the inlet tract the mucky side of the filter missing/removed!
Oh yeah, they like to backfire and destroy the air box, and the throttle valve and the AFM!
LPG, isn't it brilliant...

Mind you, sold loads of air flow meters because of it so I can't moan really!

Have had a look in my boxes of bits and i have one of these, unbroken good condition.

Thanks Bayvelle, arrived today. Chuffed to bits as it's still got the label too, so I now know which way it works!

(really should source a driver's manual before they get stupid expensive)
