Hi everyone again,

Since everyone was so helpfull last time i hope i can get more help again. I changed the passenger door handle during the week (previous owner had some one try to break in and damaged it) But i want to take the old barrel out of the old handle and put it into the new one so i can just use the one key. I have looked on the forums and various other websites and cant find how to do it, i have inspected the lock and thought it would be a simple job but after much wriggling and swearing i am stuck. I dont want to damage the barrel so maybe i am just not being rough enough lol. Any ideas?

Cheers in advance

Remove the handle. Then knock out the pin that holds on the spring on the end of the barrel. The barrel can now be removed from the handle BUT LEAVE THE KEY IN THE LOCK

This will tell you how to rekey the barrel http://www.hallvw.clara.net/lockpart.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (T25 segments are marked a, b, c, d)

You can also use the segments from the old lock

Whilst there inspect the bore in the handle that the lock barret sits in. If it has deep scores in it you may need a new handle
