Radiator fan - is there anything quieter available?

Has anyone considered or found a replacement fan, either on it's own or c/w motor, that runs quiter than the standard offering when going full chat? I was thinking about ones which use the "feather-edge" type blade e.g. Kenlowe.
Both my late SA buses are shockingly loud (they go straight to speed 2 because of the a/c, unless the switches on both are faulty?) but the '86 syncro is whisper quiet (never got it onto high speed)
All use the same later "big" motor with the two vent pipes. Any thoughts?

2nd speed is a comforting noise...
you can rubber mount the motor perhaps?

No, it's a hovercraft...

Don't think that'd help much - I don't think it's vibration from the motor, but air noise from the blades.
Ian - surely having the aircon on should just put low speed on? If it put high on, there's nowhere else for it to go when if it does become genuinely over-warm (although I s'pose there's an over-temp aircon cutout?)

a/c should automatically engage 1st speed (neither do but for different reasons, I still suspect the switch on the 2.6 as this stage will have worked pretty hard over the years) These have a 3-speed fan circuit afaik but I could be wrong.
I was really commenting on the hoover/hovercraft/leafblower racket that gives old ladies a heart attack when you're at the lights. There must be a way to quieten the fan? I do have a spare early one that I could experiment on, but it's a bit wasteful and getting it to balance afterwards might be tricky

I happened to see these a couple of days ago, looks as though they have a more modern design of blade.
Maybe quieter and more efficient

I was wondering whether fitting the 350mm fan and shroud would make any noticeable difference to the cooling on my bus ?

Nice find! Looks like the same motor as the SA's have, will have to check the diameter later but that application list includes diesel T3's so probably the same one. The 2.6 uses some diesel parts
