New Front Panel Available From JustKampers?

Hi,
sorry if this is a common question - I did a search but didn't find anything.
After a recent accident (wheel came off a lorry coming the other way on the M4, jumped the central reservation and smashed into me!), the front of my E Reg, 1900, watercooled T25 needs a new front panel. The repair company says that they can't be found and want to try to pull the existing panel back into shape. The panel for sale at JustKampers (part J18195) "Lower / Centre Nose Panel for VW Type 25" looks like the right one to me, but the repair company says it is not the right one as my van is 'just on the edge of a changeover'. I don't really know what they are on about.
Anyone understand what they are saying? What is this changeover? Are there two types of front panel for watercooled vans?
If the one from JustKampers is the wrong one, just how wrong is it? Can it still be fitted even if it is not 100% the same as my current one?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark.
