Hi

I wondered if anybody can give me any hints/tips on the removal and fitting of a water pump on the T25.

Is it a big job etc?

Mine took about 4 hours to do as I struggled to get the bolts out of the lower pipe flange, then took me a while how to figure out how to move said pipe out of the way to get the pump out as it is located on studs and when pulled out the lower pipe hits the crank pulley.
Disconnect the rubber joiner and wiggle it out of the way.
Lower nut on the pump is a little tricky too, just got on it with an extension bar.
Clean the bolts up before you put them back in, took no time to put it back together with clean threads

Jammy sod plus gassed all the nuts/bolts beforehand, snapped one off in the thermo housing[now being removed], all the others came off without a problem, jointed extension required to get the nut off behind the pulley. Water pump free on two studs but stuck on the last one- ongoing job of heating, lubricating and jiggling before i snap it off! Going to borrow a socket tomorrow for removing bolts with knackered heads and try and wind out the stud. If it wasn't for the corroded studs/bolts/nuts it would be a simple job. Good luck with yours-seems to be quite a few pumps being replaced at the moment.
