Where to go, when there's nowhere to go?

We need a bit of Peak District advice, we had a booking at a lovely site on the Tissington Trail for the bank holiday weekend, only to find they have double booked us!!! I have been phoning round to try and find a nice place for 2 vans but there appears to be no room at the inn.. Can anyone recommend a place they may be free either on the trail or close to Ashbourne???

try hulme end farm...just outside of hartington and right on the manifold trail....

Try this one, Lees farm, Fenny Bentley right on the Tissington Trail and short walk away from Tissington Hall and a nice pub! Ashbourne is about 2 miles away max and very cheap (£4-£5 a night) and glorious views. No facilities other than water and loo, nice walks and river very close by. On a little slope, but not too bad and levelling chocks would help but not essential. Tel 01335 350277. We have stopped there a couple of times - the last time the farmer was not at home and no where to leave campsite fees, first time was bank hols and had the site to ourselves. Really nice old chap who owns the very old farmhouse and a camper of his own!

I liked the sound of that and thought I would keep details for future reference. On "Googling" it (Lees Farm, Fenny Bentley) I found the house and land are recently up for sale
Hope this is not a result of bad news for his family.

If that is busy nearby Endon Cottage (around the corner) will have space. No showers just loos but at £2 a night who's complaining??
The manifold trail is great. It's 8.5 miles long and only has cars on the first two miles
From Hulme End it's only a few miles to Cycle to the Tissington Trail via Hartington
