Fridge Query RM212F

Hi folks,
I'm a newbie and only recently bought my T25.
In regards to the above, how long does the fridge take to get reasonably cold? It doesn't seem to be getting cold at all (I can only try on gas at the moment).
The flame is lit in the bottom left of the fridge and the van is on level ground. The gas switch I've left on 3.
There's no sound coming from the fridge though (as you hear in a home one) but not sure if it's supposed to make slight hum?
Thanks for your time.
Andrew.

What fridge have you got? It can take quite a while to cool one right down on gas.. Has it ever worked before?
The general method I use is plug into 240 at home the day before, travel on 12v then switch to gas when i get where I'm going - makes the most of the useable options.
Why can you only run on gas at the moment?

It's working now thanks!
Was parked on the slightest bit of a hill but now it's on flat works fine and got cold in just over an hour.
Only trying gas at moment as not got a hook up adapter but just found a good one on Amazon

The fridge is a Electrolux RM212F by the way.
Thanks for the advice.

the fridge will freeze beer overnight on 3... we pre chill our fridge with a 2L bottle of frozen water before a trip, as the 12V is not as good as gas and 240v

there will be no noise from the fridge.
if left without use you may need to spin the fridge to mix the gas , 90degrees for a couple of haours 4 times is more than enough , also the jet can become blocked , it will look like its working but the flame wont be big enough to warm the gas properly! , 240 usually works if this is the fault tho.
240/12v elements can break also.
the rm212 is a very good reliable fridge and usually just needs a service if its not working correctly!

Our 212F doesn't get cold enough to freeze beer thankfully
However I didn't like 38 degrees in Spain on hookup recently. I had to swap to gas
