Hi just bought one of these nice looking awnings - however when we were about to attach it to the van we were stumped as to how you attach it to the gutter using the clamps provided, without them 'interfering' with the sliding door?

The gap between the bottom of the gutter and the top of the door is miniscule and the clamp seems bigger than the gap? Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? The instructions that came with the awning were photocopied really badly and the images on it are all black!

I also have a strip on the side of my hi-top which I have tried attaching the awning to as well. There is nothing in the instructions that says whether this can be done or not so I have no idea how to do it properly. We have never had an awning before (so we are both thick when it comes to this) and would appreciate help off anyone who has one of the Munich 2's. Thanks

Tell you what I did,I bent the lower part of the clamp to be straighter instead of the radius and it cleared the sliding door.I tried the 8 section but with a bit of wind down it came.So I thread the pole though the awning pockets and attach it to the TOP of the van gutter with 3 clamps doing the middle one first.

Another little tip is when you have parked up and the awning in position stick two small wooden stakes in the ground marking the position of the front and back offside wheels,it's easy to reposition when you arrive back then.

That sounds like a dirty trick,now who would do that sort of thing,name names.
