Spark Plug state

ImageImageHi, just got this out of my DG , probably a vw recon unit, Pierburg seems a bit oily just below the plastic cover around the top circular edge of the intake. Engine uses a bit of oil but not too bad. This plug looks like the rest except that the tan/lightish colour is darkest on this none. Generally colour of tips looked ok but quite oily around the circular part as in pic. Any thoughts....that are relevant! Thx

plug colour is only relevant after a high speed warm engine run of over three miles.. then, shut down and remove.

tootling around plugs won't tell you anything

Ok, well boards are 100 years old, rubbed down then mouses back colour from Darrow n ball. Engine was warm and had run five miles over half hour but mainly fairly slow cos in London it takes an hour to get somewhere you can have a reasonable run for miles. Perhaps I'll test when I run to Stonor on the 3rd ( NB we 're camping overnight on 2nd if anyone else is?) cheers, Waltraud.

:rofl we sort of stopped using their paint as weve had a few issues of late..
