Same piston size, so no diff in performance. Parts/availability might be a factor in choosing one over the other.

i had a problem with one of my ATE calipers on my doka and a brand new set of girlings on the shelf for a caravelle project that ive got in the garage, the caravelle is turning into a long term project as im having way to much fun with my doka, so instead of spending money on the ATE calipers ive done a swap and will save that expense for another day, so now i can come out and play again :D :D :D

ATE parts are NLA new from vw it seems...girling are, the ATEs are possibly less prone to seizing up the sliders than the girling ones.

Girlings are cheaper based on the exchange prices I got earlier in the year. About £15 or £20 less per unit!
