Hi All

Looking for advice!

My van only ever had 1 fridge vent on the side (upper), coupled to a small 2" hole in the floor at the back of the camper - now Im redoing it all is this sufficient - id rather not cut a lower hole in the side panel if possible?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Tom

Did it work OK before ?

From what I understand the lower vent is to allow a free flow of air, up from the lower vent, then past the warm pipes on the back of the fridge, then out through the top vent. This is to improve the performance of the fridge by supplying more cooling air flow to those warm pipes.

If it worked OK before I would leave it as is ;)

"Others mileage may vary of course" ;)

Thanks - yes its been ok... however I have just repaired some extensive corrosion behind / below it and I wander if there was inadequate through ventilation causing excessive condensation build up?

If thats the way it came from the factory. it must be ok. If you want more air in without cutting a hole in the side , you an always pop another hole in the floor and drop one of these in.
