Upholstery/ seat covers

I was wondering if anyone knew a good upholsterer in the south, I've just been quoted £650 for my rock and
Roll to be covered without the foam. Personally I thought this a little dear and I'm kinda hoping this isn't the going rate. This was also with me supplying the fabric. Anyone know anyone in the Hampshire area?
Thank you

I have a machine and my mum is the best sewer I know, shes amazing but she's very reluctant to do it due to the cost of the fabric involved, as its going porsche pascha. I've thought about renting an industrial one and doing it myself but I'm too scared of messing it up! :( that just seemed so much money!

That is daylight robbery. You could get it done for half that if you supply, google some of those interior vw companies and you could send it by post?

You can get all the trim materials you need from Woolies, they're fantastic and supply all manner of stuff for classic vehicles at keen prices.

Have a go yourself it's easy, practice with some offcuts first and you'll soon get the hang of it

I have recently done a post on this ... so far I have found the following upholsterors and prices (£650 is extremely expensive esp[ecially without foams and you supplying material:

Traffic Trim - Front seats and rear cushions = £750 in Vinyl (They also have a £895 special offer for front seats, rock and roll bed and pannels etc.

DubFather = £870 for front and rear seats in Vinyl (Cheapest he can do if paying upfront) - He seems a really nice and genuione guy aswell ... he has sent me free samples of material and colours he thought would go in my Bernard!

Creative Trimming / The Camper shak = Cab seats if they are the originals – price per seat: Premier £170 Superior £180 Elegance £190

(with no head or arm resets)

Premier one colour vinyl
Superior Main colour with a second colour piping
Elegance Main Colour with a second colour inserts and piping

The cost for the vw logo on each seat would be £10 per seat

I am still waiting for a price on rear cushions after sending them measurements ...

Newton Commercial = can collect the seats with Parcelforce to bring them back to Newton commercial. The charge is £11.94 per seat. Return carriage is exactly the same price.

I am currently awaiting a price after sending measurements and he is in the process of sending me an assortment of samples they have to offer.

Top Seat Covers = I found this site which supplies covers that are specifically made to fit your seat ... you can personalise them on their website or email them the design you want ... this is the price they sent:

£350.00 for the rear seats only it will be + £139.99
for the front two singles seats.

It’s possible to create/ match the front and rear covers as they will
be made from the same material.

It will not be possible to match the original seats.

Our covers are all made by hand and take time to get right.

Springers Upholstery in Cardiff = £750 for front, rear and curtains ... The price however was oringinally over £1000 but got reduced after I offered to mention his name at festivals etc if he did my upholstery ... He said he would give me flyers/broshures to put by my T25 when at festivals and do it at £750 for doing that for him.

I hope this helps and also helps anyone else looking for upholstery in the future ... I will be updating my posts as I receive more info so keep checking that if you like! Can't remember n :ok
