Can anyone help me with this one. My fridge will work on gas, mains and battery but only for about 10 mins, just enough to start getting cold. Its an electrolux in a westy california and parked on level ground.
Cheers

Fridge Fault,,,,,,

I wish I had a pound for every time I had answered this question.

Remove the fridge completely from the van, then invert the unit, leave it for a while (have a brew/read the paper/take dog for a walk etc).Re-fit it to van connect all cables/pipes and check again.

They tell me (the voices) that the refrigerant tends to settle in the pipework so after a bit of agitation it comes back to life and hey presto the fridge works as it always did.

Regards,

Fritz,,,,,,, :D

PS, I also thought this was a joke when I first heard it,,,,,,

Often screwed through the cuboard panals on either side straight into the side of the fridge! lift the flue of the back. and whatever type of gas fitting you have(obviously off at the bottle first)!
