gear linkage

My gearbox packed up on my 2l air cooled. The gearbox was identified as a DH 091 ( thanx Aiden) which is a 1600 box. I now have a replaicment DK box which is for a 2l which i an having fitted next week. Will the gear linkage be the same or will they need to be changed also?
