sorry if this has been asked before but I couldnt see it in the title of all the posts

does anybody kow where I can get a replacement starter cable from as the one I have on my bus is corroded to the extreme at the starter end , A known fault apparently

I have got a 35 mm 2 cable but its about half the size

looks like I need a 70 mm 2

also can the old cable be removed some how with removing the fuel tank t25 1986 1.9 dg fuel tank under drivers seat

I know I can replace the end at the starter but the cable is very stiff for about 12-18 down its length so corrosion has got down the sleive

I would like to get a cable already made up if possible....

thanks in advance

Any auto-electrician will be able to sort you out ... I don't think the starter cable goes near the fuel tank, across to the chassic rail maybe but not the tank.

Good find...... :ok

Now the only issue is getting the end terminals made up to a high enough quality to pass 180 - 200amps current without too much resistance.
