It's just a car park

Half of it is locked up at night. There is a toilet block but I'd be very surprised if that was open overnight
Could probably recommend a good camp-site or two near Barry/Penarth/Sully if you want to stay in that area?

You use to be able to stay there overnight and it was very popularly spot. South Wales Dubbers have had a number of meets there and a popular choice with members from the Wild Camping for Motorhomes forum as well as members from Club 80-90. However, the local council have this year put up a new sign stating no overnight camping, no caravans etc. So that's put a stop to that

Shame about the council Putting a sign up.
I am in need of a sleepy spot in the penarth area for Sunday night or a camp site that will have space.

Lavernock Point -

Lavernock used to be a nice site (haven't been for a few years) - backs onto the beach. Couple of minutes away from a nice pub (The Captain's Wife), can take a walk out to Sully island when the tide is out... then get stuck for 12 hours
Acorn - (Nice site, but about 30mins drive from Penarth) -

Best to phone them first to reserve a pitch

There's a few sites about but a lot of them around that sort of area are static caravans only
