Something for all you experts out there, I tried the Wiki, but being a bit thick, cant find the answer.

Just collected a set of 5 Alies with tyres. Ex merc dont know model.
Tyre size...195/70/14
PCD 112

The stud hole is 5/8 deep (from the flat that hits the hub to the top of the tapered steel insert)

The distance from inner rim to the flat(as above) is 4 3/4.

Question is. What do I need to fit them to my bus.? IE. studs..spacers. Etc.

And where can I get them?

T4 bolts for the front and Lt studs for the rear will give you the necessary extra length you can get them from the likes of GSF, Simon of brickworks does them also and I think he has a stud conversion for the front some one else on here was doing some too as for spacers depends what the actual rim width and the offset, my wheels are 7J with a 24mm offset and don't need spacers but that gives about 5mm clearance so anything much higher will need spacers

if they are the old W124 wheels from the 80's then the holes need opening up and you will need longer bolts for the front and studs for the rear, clearance shouldnt be an issue as about the same size as std steels..

I have had a look today. Dont feel up to removing a wheel, feeling to knackered. The tyres on the new wheels are aprox 1in. wider than the originals. Not to worried as I will be changing tyres.
Emailed Simon at Brickworks a couple of days ago, still no reply. Do you have to belong to a forum or something for him to be interested. After all I wish to purchase the bits from him (if he has them)

Wont be any clearance issues, people fit much bigger wjeels, but I thik thr stud holes will need opening up.

Simon's girlfriend has just had a baby, so he is not about as much as he would normally be, he is a top guy.

Not to worried about opening holes up, can do that my self. Problem is what do need to fit them. ie longer bolts, studs Etc.

I think you will find it's better to phone him(01484 519800 during work hours).....he's on holiday in Devon which is why he hasn't replied to your emails.

I've got a set of merc slk rims on my bus and I needed to do the following:
Enlarge the stud holes from 12mm to 14mm, I used a step drill for this job as I'd heard a lot of stories with people having catch-ups and breaking standard 14mm twist drills.
Longer front studs, I went with one of Simon's stud conversion kits so I've now got nuts all round.
Longer rear studs (again from Simon).
10mm spacers all round, there were clearance issues with the top ball joint on the front. The rears I could have probably got away without the spacers but thought it best to space all wheels (of course these were from Simon)
The total off all the kit I needed was about £90.
I found you're best off giving Simon a call as he seems to prefer dealing direct on the phone. My email replies generally said 'giz a call'.

I dont supose you know when Simon is back. Dont want to phone if he is not there..Not in to much of a rush. Got to get tyres off and get them blasted or something. The old lacquer is a bit naf.
