morning all

rained-off so no gardening today.

I've been trying to get hold of decent original front and rear chrome bumpers for a bit of time now, but with no success. I checked out the forum and came across some discussion about bumpers from Custom & Commercial and was wondering if they were good repro :?:

having checked out the JK chrome bumpers most people are saying they're thin metal and the bolt holes require atention (drilled when the bumpers are staright. so when the bumpers are bent into shape the holes don't align).

any thoughts on this?

Its possible to get a good bumper polished and triple chromed here in the UK if you shop around and you'll get a better finish when its hand polished by an experienced chromer with a good eye. I did make similar enquiries myself this year. Prices seem to run from £150 upwards for a decent job (ie triple plating).

Right now, thats no bad thing particularly if you can find a local company as you'll be helping rebuild the local economy too!
