Well, funny you should fall into the age old trap of associating domestic skills with femininity but I'll let you off- its very much like welding in fact, 80% preparation, measuring, cutting out.....the final stitching is the satisfying bit at the end. My eldest daughter is a fashion student do she has an old household electric machine, nothing special though. PVC and fabric together is fairly easy to sew. Will be fitting tomorrow, looks so much brighter than those original westy shades of brown.... and brown!

mine has a pfaff and bought a singer 591 walking foot and needle feed unit on the bench fro J Kramers in leeds used but only gently by students , it goes through most everthing but scares me as its so bliddy fast, its got a wet sump and an oil pump . mad thing, dont know how to use it though.lol
anyhow i like the fabric choice, and as for feminine talents its not a trap ,
gonna go make fairy cakes now and fill them with the rhubarb jam i made lastnight

Good work,
Did you keep the old material as I it is the same as my rather worn in places material.
Would be useful to have a little more to patch things up.
Did you need to re-stuff the front seats as that is something I need to do as there is literally no padding in the seat backs..

Thanks- you are about as likely to find that material as Cameron knowing the price of a pint- milk or beer! I just sold my lot but it is just possible that the guy I sold it to might sell on a repair piece. I'll pm him and ask if you like?

Re front seats, no I did not re-stuff them as have beige leather Saab seats but now wish i had kept the orig ones and re- stuffed. I don't think it's that hard if you are bold, really just need to unpick and there's plenty of haberdashery/ upholstery fillings you could use to re- fill seats even though the original foam bases and backs are probably unavailable. Good luck.
