Split gas for cooker and fridge

Hi there,

I've had a look through the forum but havn't quite found the answer to my problem. I currently have a 4.5 KG butane tank feeding the cooker (two hobs) and am looking to re-install a fridge again. However, there's only one pipe off the regulator and this is attached to the hobs. So... I need some way of splitting the gas off. How do all you guys do this? A manifold?

Thanks for any advice,
Adam

Mine has a compression fit t piece in the copper pipe and the feed to the fridge comes from there.
Mine is like this but in brass

Aha! Thanks for that. I guess a manifold is the better of the two options as I can individually switch off supplies to either?!

Thanks Neil, clears up a few questions. Just need to get my hands on a manifold now. Ebay here I come! May even get a 3 way for any potential propex in the future! Although they are insanely expensive for what a wooly jumper and socks will do...

Thanks guys

That's very similar to the standard Westy setup, except the Westy's only got two outlets (cooker & fridge) - the third knob is a master cutoff.

With gas don't forget a carbon monoxide detector ( Tesco /Asda/ anywhere).
