Subject: vw transporter T25

Dear Sirs

I found your website and hope that you can help.
I have a T25 1986 transporter van, 57K miles original and body work in great
condition. We went off in it to Cornwall this year, having only purchased
it about 1 month previous. I know nothing about motor vehicles and hope
that you or someone might be able to help.
I am starting to gut it and so far, so good. This is the easy bit of
course.
A few things have come to light
Louvered window - seals and brushes need to be replaced
Battery has run completely flat after sitting for no more than 1 month - is
something drianing it?
Rear Drum brakes - replaced by local mechanic though on speaking to Kwikfit
they said that VW specialist equip. is needed to do this - is this true-
have I been done?
I really hope you can help
I live in Ludlow, Shropshire. Do you have any enthusiasts that live close
by?
