Fine, only 11 years old, BFG's are good for 20 years at least!! :D

I think only the older ones have 'radial' written on the wall

Tyres over 6 years old fail our NCT and the German TUV so would it not be the same for your MOT?

No, no rules on age, its all about condition. Much like any other rubber component, be it steering, brake or suspension parts, or do you have age rules on them too? :?

But tyres aint like any other rubber component. Tyres is tyres, seals is seals, bushes is bushes ..... you get the picture.

Eleven year old tyres .... wouldnt even put them on my trailer !!

And Brakes pipes are Brake pipes??
Age or condition testing?
The 6 year rule seems ridiculous, our inspection/condition testing seems to work well, hardly surrounded by cars blowing tyres everywhere. Infact, only ever seen one complete sudden tyre failure (loss of control) & that was on a newish Smart car, but must be very good for tyre companies so it'll probably come.

That is not entirely true is it, you have seen another one involving a trailer

Oh yeah, of-course it was a old tyre blow out, not a overloaded trailer officer!
