Cheers Ian!

yes Wilko. I typed it on my iphone which i can never see at my age - hence the spelling mistake!

popped into GSF on the way back from Wilko to get an air filter and there oil is £22 so I think i got a good buy for £12.60

If you look again, they also do the right gearbox oil for our vehicles - at under £3 a litre. In fact its the ONLY gearbox oil they do,

I wouldn't be put off by the fact it's Wilkinson brand, it is the right spec and viscosity and works just fine.

Mineral oils don't have the longevity of newer synthetics so change often (5K or once a year) which ever comes the soonest, I know Ian changes his every 3,000 with an oil filter every 2nd change.
I have read somewhere that Carlube supply for Wilkinsons... 8)

Rather than let the thread descend into a "which oil" one again, read this:

Aye, mostly by ear these days cos I run 99% of my miles on lpg and I can hear and feel when the oil is starting to thin out from the tappet's noise and feel.

Ian.
