Building my own bespoke camper

Ive had three full camper conversions in the past which have been great but the biggest problem ive always found is that you cant really use them as a daily drive
They are just too heavy and uneconomic to use every day.
So some months back i bought myself an empty shell and then got to work building my own camper.
Started by lowering it and fitting some audi s4 wheels.
The back was fully insulated with rock wool and boarded then lined.
I then set about building the kitchen unit from scratch, it had to be big enough for the fridge some draws and the gas bottle.
I bought up some caravan parts including a water pump with charcoal filter.
I added a zig unit and a socket one end and multi socket the other.
On top a little sink and burner combo.
The zig unit powers the lights ,fridge and water pump.
next went in the rock n roll bed which i made out of a futon, still have to have the cushions made yet.
Ive plumbed in 240 eletric hook up and installed an rcd unit under the bed.
I put a second battery under the passenger seat then wired up a split charger.
The zig unit has a green warning light on it which will turn red if the leisure battery gets too low and you can switch it over to the cranking battery if you want ( but not too long or you might need a push ).
In went a LED light in the roof, very low amps so can leave on for hours.
Ive wacked in half leather seats in the front and gti steering wheel.
So still on going, i need to cut out the cargo door next (bit scary ) and maybe change the gear box.
Any hoo im really please so far so i thought id put a couple of pics on here. :ok

how much did you lower your van by? i like it & we are thinking of lowering ours (got 2 x fractured front springs so would be rude not to!) has it affected the steering in any way...good or bad?!
