Autohomes Kamper roof strut replacement advice pls.

Hi All,
After our first camp of the year, rather chilly but no rain, I noticed a little puddle of oil from one of the struts holding the pop top roof up - and sure enough the roof literally fell on my head!
I have just ordered 4 new struts so was looking for some advice as to fitting them on, as I suspect they will be quite powerful
So has anyone done this job already, can I just swop one at a time and all will be rosy?
