I knew I'd catch one Mike

LPG. So no thought required before travelling the length and breadth of UK and France :ok

He casts the baited hook.....

Well...no thought required....just a tom tom or app to point you to places that sell your gas.....which might still be open.....so that you can gas it back up every 200 miles.....that's a lot of stops to do the length and breadth....

And... you might just fit a pair of earplugs under your seat./ in your wardrobe.....next to that big tank.

And.....I take it you prefer the ferry crossing.. :run

I do like the Ferry. It's part of the relaxing holiday adventure. Never been one for dark tunnels with no views.

As for LPG fuelling I know all the stations off the top of my head on my most common motorway routes north and south and if I need one when moving from one site to another I just look in my LPG station Atlas. Can't see the hassle. I've yet to run out of LPG :!: Horse for courses.

When in France I just used the satnaff even though they were everywhere. The Garmin was a godsend and made travelling a breeze (obviously armed with common sense when they have the occasional thrombo). Sadly Spain is a bit backwards and I had to use liquid gold :(

But we are digressing a little here.......

The value as I see it :

the engine £300ish IF running fine,
gearbox £200 Ditto
Early cooling system complete £150 ?
Back seat/bed another £100 if dry and without stains ( )
Fridge £50 IF safe and working 3 way
Running gear £50/corner IF not rotten

These are realistic to sell on here quite quickly, then you have the shell to have disposed of which won't be able to be towed of course but may make another £100. The interior looks shot but there might be odds and sods the peeps want.

SO, around a grand less your £500 (and you'd be out of order asking for a refund in my opinion) .... plus the time to strip it, pack stuff and post/deliver/wait in for someone to collect it. The choice is yours.

There's a few other nuggets in there.. the early Thermostat housing, PCB board in the clocks and the bleed joint on the bulkhead
