Lot of weight there, can see why you want to change.
Also you maybe able to get some cash back by selling the interior to the local undertaker!!

When you get a multivan seat make sure you get all the seat belts that you will need as well. At a guess that van is a converted panel van so it may not have the seat belt mounts in the rear bulkhead. If this is the case, this will be quite a difficult job to do. I know it has been tackled by some on here before but DO NOT DRILL HOLES INTO THE REAR BULKHEAD cuz the plastic diesel tank is right behind that panel. Diesel tanks are becoming hard to get.
You might also find that the Multivan seat when folded out my not be level with the existing woodwork.

Itwas a panel van converted by mcgill. He put multivan seat in so it does have seat belt mounts and i have the seat belts too just no multi seat.
I can just change the wood work.

Cheers. Pmd
I fixed the drivers door lock today.
Well chuffed. Did get a bit wet though.
Also went over the fields in the syncro.
Used the G gear. Worked a treat to get out the bogy mud.

Tidy...good innit "G" gear, makes turning with a big trailer or hill starts with a load on so much less "melty" on the clutch.
interior is better than mine!

I was told i need to look for a caravelle r n r bed.
Well the guy who owned it before said it had failed.
If i got a straight shaft replacement (de coupler) instead of a vc go westy said i am limited in turning the steering wheel only a quater turn.

Cooper has a RHD , multivan interiors were only LHD. As has been said, multivan seats, if installed without plastics, leave an unsightly gap.
After reading some of the posts on here by people, i know she is maybe new, excited and learning lots but how about 'we' make an effort to help and be constructive as opposed to destructive?
Just an observation not a critisism

do a search on solid shaft and decoupler it should keep you interested for a few months.
basicly if you want to go solid shaft you have to go decoupler also. this means the van will be 2wd untill you pull that 3rd knob then it will be a tracktor with totally locked centre diff. this can only be used on slippy stuff mud gravel ect. if you try to use it on tar` then the van will be reluctant to turn as there is no slippage between the front and rear wheels.
the beauty of the syncro is a good working vc. i`d stick with that for 99% of what you`ll use a syncro for.

Can the VC be repaired or pretty much has to be replaced?
