This is why I'm not getting married or having kids until I have managed to scoop in as much van stuff as possible

For me, the fridge will make the biggest impact to my ability to wild camp for extended periods. I like meat and I like vodka straight from the freezer.

I just hope it lives up to my expectations, I shall report back once it's all in.

I'm sur it will be great! Good luck with the install, what are you having done with the interior?

I've decided to get it fully lined, new headlining, new floor, cupboards built from that super light wood (something different from Vohringer).

I wanted the professional look in the van, which I’ve failed to achieve.

It will also mean I can finish work, chuck some beers in and go away for the weekend and hopefully some syncro meets

I was concerned about the size, I went for the cheapest and smallest, cr-50. I just hope it can carry enough. Most of my food can be dry stored and the beers can just be dropped in the freezer everytime I need a new one

what happens if I drink too fast though

Mine is a CR-50 and there is loads of room, you get four beers in the freezer and if you dont get a shift on the third one will be an ice lolly before you know it

Dont worry Ringo, you can always drop a beer in my freezer for now, or I could give you some ice for an ice bucket!

Okay, I will check next time I am over, try and remember to take pics of the fitment as well!

Just as an experiment, this weekend i decided to run my thermoelectric fridge as well as my compressor coolbox. Jeez! that thermo fridge sucks some juice! i have 160AH batteries and in a 12hr period it took my voltage from 12.8v down to 12.3 The next 12hrs i ran just the compressor fridge and it went from 12.3v to 12.28 so i think you can see how well a compressor type fridge saves power. As i think 12.3v is about 50% discharged.
A one hour drive home, and sterling put the batteries back up to 12.81

Think i might be upgrading to a built in fridge, so if anyones looking for a coolbox type one........
