C'mon then Dai, what are they from? Please don't say Maestro...
I recall slagging them off a good while back, but what with the new 2012 MOT rules and me with one masked LHD outer square, they suddenly look a lot more attractive

yep theyre Maestro :ok fair bit of hacking about to get them in tho, both the mounts and lthe lights need surgery to fit them in

oh and Torchy, the reimo top was on it when i bought the van back in 2001

Done a bit more...
fitted new bushes into the arms, cleaned and repainted the hubs and fitted these lovely caliper mounts...... I want to thank Ian and Neil for the rear caliper conversion parts...im impressed with the quality of the kit :ok

Image

added the sharan discs and calipers, the handbrake cables and the extra long braided hoses

Image

then the extended rear damper mounts were fitted

A trial fit of the arm with Andreas springs, new standard dampers and the mach 5's with the 235/75/15 muds all seem to go together ok

not sure that the standard dampers are going to cope with the springs and the new ride height, might have to look at the trailmaster adjustable ones .....the spending is never ending :(

Ive done the otherside aswell and im on with the front subframe and suspension now ,ill post some more photos when i get chance

Cheers for the reactions people :ok
Mark, yep ive got the full set of Andreas springs, and he sent a diagram of where to put the tails for both aftermarket and standard dampers,im using the standard ones for the mo so they can only go in one position on the front.......maybe Trial Masters for the future, but interested to know what setup you went for.
Im looking at May for completion, but it all depends on time and money.

Stan, call over whenever ,im generaly at home after work or in the garage :ok

Paul, have you noticed any difference with the disc conversion, how the f... did you brake your thumb, compessing the springs?

Dirty S L,the Sharan discs are the same pcd as the syncro and i had the Mach 5's made to the syncro pcd and ofset. you could use landy mach 5's and adaptors but i think that you will find the wheels will stick out far to much.

Ive got a bit further with the van :ok so here are some slideshows of some of what ive been doing,
the front suspension all seems to work properly although i may have to tweek the drop links a bit as the van sits very tall  at the moment and they dont line up quite right with the polybushes fitted.Hopefully with the engine and box and all the rest of the stuff bolted in/on it will all come back into tollerance. Its an easy fix even if they dont. And here it is back on its wheels again.

fingers crossed my deadline of May is still acheavable if i dont run out of momentum and cash..

Im really looking forward to driving it again.........
