Actually, don't think it's either being on the autistic spectrum (everyone is) and definitely not OCD (Beckham-itis), sometimes it's particular attention to detail, something altogether different.
The best
engineers I've know are none of these though... usually Mr. British Vanilla, using the right level of detail, working to the right order of magnitude (a slide-rule where only the approx number and order of magnitude is important)...
I suppose this fella would be one of them...
