Pop up the part number stamped into yours and someone will identify them in no time.
PS where's the centre disc that clamps it all together?

Brilliant work. I got the last batch of uk inserts but I know where to come when they turn to sponge

Any chance of this being put in the wiki with the contact details as this topic may get lost in the ether? (apologies if this has been done)

Hi Westyfans - does anyone want these parts now or have I tooled up for nothing?
If the pricing is too strong then please say so - I'm not out to sting anyone! Our community is too small to be upsetting folks
If you're in the "interested but a bit dear" or "need some but a bit short this month" then could we start a list here so that I can judge demand? If I know where we're headed then I'll see if I can improve the price by running a bigger batch.

After all this effort, I find I'm one of those with swivel bases without the bushes.
The VW part numbers of my swivel bases are:-
Top 251 881 321 (circular)
Middle 251 881 321
Bottom 251 301 2 (last digit either 6 or 8, its filled in from paint)

In light of the unprecedented demand for these parts  I've decided to drop the price rather than have them on the shelf for evermore .
One time only for the club:
£30 per seat set or £55 for two sets (8 parts per set) PLUS vat @ 17.5% but I'll post them for free.
You will get a vat invoice that says "parts" so you can reclaim the tax
Never to be repeated. I'm warnin' yer!

have you tried sticking a set on ebay and offer it internationally? There may be an untapped market

I had a bit of a chat with MG this morning - we've identified the "no-bearing type" as the earlier Westy fitment, pre-84 model year. Everything later has the nylon bearings by way of an improvement. It seems that as more early Westys are getting broken up due to terminal rot, these parts are appearing on the market.
I'm looking to engineer a solution for these, but it may not be easy. They weren't meant to be a serviceable part.

I'm only doing full seat kits for 2 good reasons:
1. Stock control, otherwise I'll end up with all one type left over...
2. While the bottom ones wear badly, they all degrade with age/grease contamination and start to go soft and rather "rubbery". That's why it's a complete kit.
Prices to 80-90 as above, please use link in my signature and use the contact form on the website. In the "company name" box put Club 80-90 :ok
