Gearbox flange (snigger) looks like this, so you can see 6 bolts is all there is, check you removed them all and whack it harder, cv is built like a brick sh so you wont damage it.

okay. Will find a bigger hammer and recheck the bolts again. If I find one in there now I'm gonna be embarrassed now!
Now where is my biggest gentlest persuasion tool!

Gearbox flange (snigger) has a small flange (snigger) at gearbox side so don't hit it close to box, hit it on the edge away from box to get some leverage, if you have to whack the shaft.
once spent hours whacking a sump only to find ond bolt left

To be honest I almost gave up doing the bolts when I nearly snapped the the Allen key and could get it undone; I didnt know they could bend quite so far! Anyway, turns out I was trying to do it up!

Easily done when working upside down, I still have to do the hand actions to be sure what direction to undo when at strange angles.

If the shaft is still stuck in the flange would getting some heat on it help break the bond, or will that just set for to the grease and oil?

Lock a pair of mole grips to the shaft and knock on the grips towards the wheel - usually only takes a small tap to dislodge it.

SUCCESS!!!! The mole grips did the trick.
You know when you can't do something even though it should be simple, so you ask someone to watch and it does it straight away. Well I decided top film what I was doing for criticism and of she popped!

Celebratory pizza and beer tonight and then reassemble tomorrow.
I may have knocked the outer ring of the joint off... :/
Also, what grease should I use?
Thanks
Josh

Dirty black stuff! It goes everywhere. Can't be arsed to go down to the workshop to see what it is exactly. Someone will pop up with the info soon hopefully.

I painted the axle shafts last time I did mine. May not seem important but it makes it much easier to handle themn in future as they're then easier to keep clean.
