Looking forward to this and meeting you all.

I’ve got the locale OS maps and have today fitted a CB radio (hoping one of you there can teach me how to use it)
I have traklogs loaded on my laptop (shame everyone else seems to be using Memory Map) however it will take GPX files if I can get it to work. I also have a copy of Memory Map but no base maps.

We are of to Watlington tomorrow to see the kites and Oxford on Thursday so hop to arrive in Tilshead some time Friday afternoon.

given the comments in the green laning leaflet that Jenny referred earlier in this thread and the rather wet conditions we have had for the past week or more, how do you expect the track conditions to be? Are they general firm enough to withstand use when very wet without suffering significant damage?

Has anyone going to this meeting got any spare front outer CV 'shafts' they can spare, please?

I am getting prepared to pull the front diff and would like to have the ability to run in 2wd until it goes back in.

Borrow or buy would suit me.

I am running 2WD and have been for 4 months. By separating the CV joints one can leave the outer shaft in-situ and take out the half-shaft and diff. Have a look at mine at the weekend, while I have a look at your AGG install.

Gary, Salibury plain is made up of chalk so the main routes should be passible without too much trouble although we hope to get a bit muddy !!
We've held this meet for a few years and apart from some extreme bits (optional) no-one's sustained any damage.
I haven't been able to recce. the route due to no.1 rule of offroading, NEVER go on your own, but I'm hoping someone can come with me on fri afternoon perhaps to the 'mud hole' to check conditions.

What are the actual lanes like? On YouTube it looks to be all quite open and flat-ish. Am I right in thinking on the Saturday the is no tight scratchy lanes?

Much as I'd love to I won't make it this time. Starter issue fixed, alternator issue in its place. Next time

Is it the fire pit and bring your own food and beer Saturday or local pub for beer and food?

Hopefully the former, I can bring wood and a chainsaw but as yet no firepit , can anyone bring one please ?

We can bring our washing machine drum fire pit.
May even throw in a log or two.
