Bookmark this site, read it and learn all about diff locks, Limited-Slip Diffs and all things 4x4:

PS I'm the last person to want to play the "old man spanners" card, but most of us do have more than your lifetime's experience in car maintenence and repair to varying degrees. There is a lot to learn and that's before you even start driving the thing on or off-road, where a whole more skills have to be aquired.

I got the syncro stuck in a snowy carpark on Sunday and I'm not afraid to admit it. There's always something to learn (or remember)

The rear diff lock sounds a good option.
Obviously not awd but both back wheels will work together.

I havent really considered toyota as such.

I have looked at converting a landrover to camper.
Toyota hi ace 4x4 but way to much money.

Ive looked at transit countys for about 2 years but they rarely came up. And i little big. Same with an lt. And i have never seen a 4x4 lt.

Ive looked a truck campers also alot of money.

I didn't entirely think you were, but given the questions being asked by the OP I thought it was best to be clear that it would be decidedly tricky/expensive to make a 2WD T25 work like a Baja bug offroad.

How its that even possible to make a camper like a baja bug. Now if it could be done that would be awsome. But the baja bugs are made to be very light. Ie fiber glass body. And you would have to redo all the chassis stuff. Not worth it.

I'll give you a clue, when I said "decidedly tricky", I was indulging in deliberate understatement.

Have you tried asking for advice elsewhere? I'm sure the lads at the Brick-yard would be only too pleased to point you in the right direction.
