Don't be too hung up on diesel. I get more miles per pound from my syncro doka on LPG than my diesel vans. You will probably get a petrol van cheaper, and then get a quote from Steve at Gasure in Chester to put LPG on it. Less than 70p a litre and I can do 260/270 miles on LPG between refills.
Cheers Rich

The thing about lpg is that its isnt as easily accessable as petrol or diesel. Anf i plan on traveling around europe and the middle east. I know that petrol can be cheaper to buy vehicle but its just preference.

Theres a free app for iphone to show your nearest station to your location in UK. Loads more LPG in Europe than in UK, not sure about middle east but guess that petrol would be cheap enough there!

How difficult would that be? And how much would it cost?

surely you would just need to source a dash board(complete) with steering wheel and pedal box and a steering rack ,don`t think any of them are syncro specific? but you will have to ask the experts about how easy it would be, i will say though that owning a lhd in the uk is not that much of a problem and if its a jx syncro your driving then overtaking is not going to be something you will miss that much , just enjoy sitting up high and watch the world go by

Do you not remember that question being answered along with a load of others? Are you not reading the answers?
Are you old enough to be using your Mummy's computer without her permission?

it's pretty straightforward if you have a rhd donor to take the internal panels and associated parts out of or you can just modify the existing stuff and make the brace for the steering column and mount for the steering relay - syncrospares have just done one that way - billynumbers did it using the rhd panels and drilling out the spot welds etc.....it's a bit more involved than just that but doable certainly.
contact SyncrosparesUK 01769 573 683 to discuss the work involved
or pm Julian aka billy739 on here

If you want to go to Europe and Africa in it I think you've got more to worry about than trying to master lhd in the UK.
I presume you've driven lhd and can't get on with it?
Maybe dual controls is the answer then you can hop from side to side depending on which continent you're in.

i drive a lhd and rhd syncro. in the uk the rhd is a little easier but i still rather the lhd and its much easier abroad.
lhd panel van would be difficult in the uk as you cant see the rh blind spot and junctions would be a nightmare. if its a window bus lhd is fine.
insurance may or may not be more. get some quotes in and see.

Thankyou for your in put. I will check out gettin it done by a reputable mechanic. My brother in law could possible do it.
Im not using mummys computer im on my iphone. Im 23 years old. I am living at home at the monent though as i am suffering from severe panic attacks and anxiety.
So the reason a would like a vw camper type is so i can get out more than i do now. So if i have an attack i can stop make a cup of tea and relax.
As to the lhd no i have never driven one. I would prefere to have a rhd as its less stress on me to drive on the side i am comfortable.

cooper. lhd really is simple once you get used to it and by my reconing if you can drive a t3 you can drive lhd.
maybe there`s someone near to you with lhd that can give you a go to see.
