what charge cooler pump did you go for in the end? Just starting to look for one myself now

Yes.

I bought a Bosch/AVT pump. Managed to get one including delivery for £50. Brand new in the box as the fella never got round to fitting it.

I know Mario has had a lot on and it is a new business so it is behind schedule. I'm not bothered as long as it is done right.

I'm on the look out for the same pump, £89 is the cheapest I've seen so far (for new)
I've also found this one, very good flow rate and £60. http://www.securefixdirect.com/12v-20lp ... 3479-p.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

is that exposed under the van?
i quite like this set up, with it all inside [img] https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hp ... 0365_n.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;[img]
Are you using the original pedal?

I preferred the original pedal. The unit is fully waterproof as will be the connections.

lhd mazz normally does inside pedal. rhd outside pedal. got to admit i like the std pedal but i`ve gone inside option as i know it`ll be submerged.

riches rhd has same as tom and is nice to use. feels std but with super smooth cable. :ok

Another option is to have the sender/pot in the engine bay and link the std. throttle cable to it. Mudlark's 16" Westy has an AFN installed by B.Jaeger, it looks a bit crude but must be effective, the van has driven the Americas S->N with this engine. This keeps the nice stock pedal, and minimises wire runs to the front. I think I'll do it this way on my pickup. The senders are waterproof, on the older LT's they are in the engine bay apparently.

bonus of fly by wire is no frozen throttle cables.

There is that !

When I get to it I'll look at mounting the sender under the floor. Going electric on the speedo so why not the throttle ?

Just got in from collecting the van. It is absolutely amazing. Completely transformed. Bags of power and smooth. Now has the power of a modern vehicle. I will post up pics tomorrow.

Mario and Daz have done an excellent job.

It will be interesting to see what the MPG figures are. Although at the moment it is very hard to resist flooring it for a few seconds, lifting off and then flooring it again just to feel the surge of power.

Don't forget that gearbox hasn't got oiling plates and a virtually irreplaceable crown and pinion set in it, you don't want to do a MG

On the plus side the 2nd gear crunch has gone.

What's the turn around time for you to fit oiling plates?
