Does anyone know the whereabouts of the fridge relay?

Is it near to the fridge?

Try up behind the 'control panel'. Mine is on the drivers side of the panel. It is not fixed and it will come out on the end of the wires when you take the panel out.

How long have you had the trident?

Hi,

I've just replaced all the window rubbers on my 1985 Trident (with the louvre rather than sliding window above the cooker).

For anyone looking to do the same you'll need the following rubber sizes off seals direct (http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/) who are the chepaest, and who do rather nice bits of rubber with quick delivery! Be aware that most 'kits' that are sold won't fit as they are for the wrong panel thicknesses.

Sliding door rubber - 1.6mm to 5.0mm (metal to glass)

Rear side windows - 5.0mm to 5.0mm (metal and trim to glass)

Louvre - 1.6mm to 1.6mm (metal to metal)

Fitting the rear winodws is a bit of a pain (they're curved, so require a bit of a push to ge them in!).

Hope that this is of use to someone - means you might be able to order news seals before you take the old ones out!

This is the method I use and not the string way.

I cannot get on with stringing in windows. Tried several times and failed.
I have used this method several times, on the side windows, with no problems. Numerous glass fitters have told me that this type of rubber (Claytonrite) is not meant to be strung in. Windscreen and rear window -string in.
Seals Direct also recommend this method.

its called a diamond lacing tool I have a version of one in my tool chest somewhere, really easy to use I can fit side windows really easy on my own with um!
