Yep, I've got that, or carplan, checked the G12++ and it covers all previous VW coolants. Can sometimes turn brown in colour when mixed. But does not react in any other way. Mine was drained a couple times anyway, but still had a bit of blue in it. Seems quite hard to fully drain.

Hi, Ive just had a service on the bus, and the mechanic swapped the coolant too (as I wanted him to do it right, instead of me messing around). Since then it has been running quite warm, up to 3/4 on the temp gauge. But everything else (rad/thermostat/heater matrix) seems fine.
I assumed that maybe there was air in the system and bled it a few times when I had the chance. Some air did come out one of the times, when I had it on a hill. So thought problem solved.
But it is still getting quite warm when stationary/city driving, on the motorway it is sitting just above middle.
I checked the coolant mixture and not sure what the mechanic did, but im getting readings of -40/-50, almost pure coolant!
So having just read all about "The TRUTH about Coolant", is this the main reason for the running hot, the antifreeze/water (if any) is simply not removing the heat that efficiently and I should reduce the antifreeze percentage.
