Something I have noticed. When you look at the colour cards always think a shade darker! Both the colours I have got have been somewhat brighter than I expected. Anyone else found this? I have used actual colour cards so the resolution on my PC doesn't come into it!

It's been about a week since I did the first coat of blue on the van. so today I decided to flat down that first coat. Using 400 wet n dry and plenty of soapy water I set to work. I found using a block on the large "flat " area's worked nicely and just my fingers for the contoured /recessed bits. You get the feel of how much pressure to apply after a few mins .I found if you apply just light pressure and let the paper do the work. In a few places you flat through to the paint underneath, but you get a nice smooth finish ready for the next coat. :ok Mark

Trouble is unless you have some where indoors to paint your van , you're at the mercy of the weather. Also it will take longer for the paint to harden in the lower temperatures.I aim to get all the painting done by the middle of October with just the final polishing done as and when the weather allows. :ok
