As a test remove wire to hp switch and insulate increase revs slowly in stages and see what happens buzzer should be quiet until you hold it at 2000 rpm approx for a few seconds may be a bit over or under ( mine is over perhaps 2100)

I'll see what happens with the new switch. But if it's another fault, why would it be so repeatable?
I'll see for sure when the gauge goes in.

Up to you but oil pressure test in bentley is tested at LP position 2000 RPM 80 deg oil temp (should be 2 bar) and buzzer should only sound above 2000 rpm.
if your buzzer is going off under 2000 rpm and yourvoil pressure has been testes as abive OK then you are wasting your time installing a new switch and guage at HP location IMO (although a fresh switch will do no harm)

Being repeatable is no indication as to where the fault is, the switch is doing it's job repeatedly at hot temperatures and low revs it will trigger but it should be ignored under 2000 rpm, it's the dash or tacho wiring at fault.

Yeh but guage should be at the low pressure point thats where the VW specified test of 2 bar hot 2000 rpm should be done.
If you have a guage in the low pressure position and keep an eye on it you can ground your buzzer wire to shut it up and move on.
