well whistlestops cleaned and fitted, sort of cleans the edge and defines it as well as doing some good

old front bumper partly refurbed and nice that it and the defo panel follow the same radius,

end caps back on, just need to drill through and secure to body

can now pop the wassher bottle back in and then refit the bashplate etc

NOS or new?
Drilling after paint? I think some "in the know" syncro owners leave the screws out so that if you clip the plastic cap, it can move instead of ripping the panel.

Mis-read "just need to drill through and secure to body"
Smart money is bolt to bumper only, forget the self-tapper.

well 3rd coat on and finished

nice texture to it

and closer

real stealth bleck
i have some i applied over a year ago and its been outside and not suffered and the stell will bend and the coating bemds with it, no cracking.
so whilst not the same as a step mat,it does do away with the issue of crap getting under the mat and then rubbing in as the step is used ,plus ingress from under etc. this at least is very durable , flexible ,overcoatable at will, and i think is a better soloution, ok i could use a mat as a template if desired but i figured that as its only seen when the door is open then i would go for protecting the area that boots etc most readily contact, especially the outer radius
