Had some more time this weekend so added stiffener plates to tie up up the sill/floor to side panel, really want to leave access for the future for moisture escape waxoyl/dinitrol application etc
vactanned, tigersealed and still to get a lick of hammerite and dinitrol but hopefully start to get the ply floor back in shortly,

Not posted progress pics in a while
But the bus has been destriped for painting prep
window surround repairs have been done and new rubbers on
and front and rear screens out for the mandatory windscreen corner repair
I think i was quite lucky as once the front screen was out i found one small holed section drivers side was cut out and new piece of metal welded in slightly below the surface and brought up level with metalik filler
the new panels got a coat of cheapo ivory paint for protection in the meantime but giving me an idea now as looking slightly less scruffy

Progress slowed up a bit recently due to work and swallows who decided to build their nest and raise young in the rafters right above the van

however 5 healthy chicks now on the wing and flown off

, so been prepping the body for the paint rollered ofc'
decided on a colour change just to brighten the old bus up a bit
started on the roof just to get a feel for the paint and technique then the tailgate
been working it a couple of panels at a time
This paint is pretty impressive stuff as is the techniques developed by Covkid and the others so a big thank you all it does take a bit of experimentation with thinning but the benefits i can see are easily building up a decent thickness of paint and hence protection over a few coats and ofc cost

To be honest for the first coat i wasn't expecting too much in terms of finish but pleasantly surprised at how it levels out and glosses nicely
