Hopefully in about 3 weeks time Jed and I will have our vans back and will be able to put up figures.

From what Jake has told me his is built for economy. AFN will probably not be as economical but then the extra power is important to me. Rich's figures are very encouraging, his van has a Reimo interior and high top, which must be a pretty equal comparison to a Westy.

Jake can get 40mpg in a fully loaded Westfalia Syncro and I know he isnt full of sh*t. Now that interests me

I think some of you lads should go and work for VW cuz they can only average 36 or so out of the current range of campers !!! :rofl

Neil .... why cant you run a diesel dry? The pumps are self priming so it just takes a few churns of the starter to get going again. Ran out of diesel quite a few times over the last 20 years of T25 diesel ownership.

I have to agree, I ran out on my old CS and it started with no problems at all.

You cant run them dry because it makes an excuse to say that a diesel engine is less efficient than a petrol because it must have 5L in the tank

A bit of an update. I little behind, but as the old Heinz advert says "Best things come to those who wait!"

It's a bit late so Facebook required. I will upload when I get time.

Watching with extreme interest. What's the proposed time frame from Mario's start to collection?
