With the -50 drop do you get any rubbing on the front with the twists on?

I know what you mean - I had to replace one of the main pipes recently - £80 odd quid. Mind you VW don't do em so like you I had to get them made up.

My P/steering pipes burst recently, bought baxters flexi's, not cheap! But can't rust. Hoping cable tie's will hold them in place

So , connected the power steering pipes upto the rack (later swaped them as i had them around the wrong way

)
ran a new 12v feed from the battery in the back ( with a 25 amp fuse ) all the way to the pump relay.
ran a ignition feed up behind the grill to the fuse box.
and i now have power steering !!! feels great just doing some on the spot tests and a 3 point turn in the road.
have not taken it out on the open road yet .... tommorow for that i think.
you can hear the pump when sitting in the car ( i could allways move it one day ) but the t25 aint quiet anyway .. so another noise is fine with me.
powersteering done

, off to devon next week so should give it a good test. .. might even let the wife drive it now
pic of my bodge of a resy mount :

next is to get my SVX motor in

got some small jobs done this weekend , i never seem to get as much time as i think !
fitted new cup holders

wife did a great job cleaning out the cupboards.
i re-fitted some interior parts that i had removed for welding

.. double checked over night heater still works
i collected a 3 bike rack the other day , i then proceeded to modify it to hold a 4th bike :
seems to take the weight even after a test drive , will just have to see how it goes !
removed the fridge , as it did not work on any settings !
took it to a local camping/caravan shop , who service fridges .. got a phone call a few hours later saying that they cant get any parts

.. allthough they did give it a service , found the jets where block so where able to at least light it , allthough the thermo coupler was buggered ( he showed me ) and would not stay alight , he also confirmed the 220v element was dead.
after all that , they did not even charge me ! , got home with it , and phoned the people brickyard recomend , new thermo coupler and 220v element ordered ! not sure if they will be here by Wednesday or not.
gave the girl a bit of a clean, used some CIF on the pop top , made it a bit brighter now.
