I to have had the glue melting in the sun issue. This is a considerable pain in the asre. Solution is to buy high temp glue from woolies or frost. I bought woolies as you get more and they specifically recommend it for this type of thing. It's about £10 litre and they's awffy helpful.

Tent or hard sided pop top

It has to be pop top, the wallet has spoken, and he just doesn't like the look of the hard tops.

But here is the dilema, do I pay £1200 to repair the rotton hard sided Kamper conversion. (Warmer than a tent, safer for the childen, and sides open for ventilation on a hot day), or go for a tent sided pop top, much cheaper, but colder than the hard top, no or poor ventilation, no windows, but cheaper) :?

I know some of you have gone Kamper to Devon and was just wondering what the consensus was.

Hard sided or tent sided??

I have a high top and think that if you are using it for its intended pupose it is the way to go.

Obviously if you are concerned about appearance then pop tops etc work for posing etc.

If I used mine as an everyday vehicle it would be a pop top but it its used as a camper only.

As others have already said. Depends what you want. If you want a camper get a high top. If it has other uses pop top would probably be preferable

high top or not

I like to camp in mine and have no inclination to enter it into the Paris fashion week.
If I wanted something that looked uber bling I'd have bought a T5 California :wink:

My glorious hightop has room for dozens of bottles of Uncle Jack and Bombay badboy :twisted:

I prefer the popup

Problems with Hardtop -

* adds to wind resistance
* adds to the T3's already near-offensive habit to be blown about
* can *sweat* in the summer causing condensation
* can be clausterphobic (slant on popup resolves this)
* lack of air circulation esp. in summer
* roof lining can fall
* looks a bit "Max & Paddy" from the outside
* can't get into garage, can't be towed in multi-storey car carrier, can't get in any multi-storey
* harder to clean - more to clean
