Is the vac pipe on the dissy ? Can’t see in either pictures

your taking a #3 lead over to the right side
I don't think so. No1 is the one nearest the carb - his dizzy drive looks to be a tooth or two out.
I'd be putting the old leads back and seeing if it magically rights itself.
E D I T: blimey there's been a lot of posting in the few minutes it took to post this! Have you lot nothing better to do?? We still have lockdown here

thanks a lot for the offer mate, but you know when I said I "DEFINITELY DIDNT GET THE LEADS AROUND THE WRONG WAY" well apparently I was lying !!
I swapped it all back to the old stuff and when I did I noticed the leads looked like they didn't sit how the did it was at that point I realized!
so its all got the new stuff back on in the right order and ....
thank you all for your Saturday time, all owed a beer if we ever meet.(probably a couple tbf)

I note you did change the vac pipe to the air filter housing .
You really should get those petrol pipes changed now .
And the coolant pipes please !
Well done for sticking with it and sorting it

yes, I changed that as the other one was a bit short and bending tight at the connection,
I've brought the fuel line with inline filter from brickworks, it's in the van and my next job
I did notice a small number of metal flakes when I sieved the oil after I removed it, very small amount tbf, don't think this has had oil change since the engine replacement 7k ago
its been an interesting first week, think its the first time I've serviced my own car in about 15 years, actually been fun in a way.

I wouldn’t let the oil debris worry you, there is nothing you can do about it anyway
Yes it’s a learning curve but you will soon get to know your van , and what is what , so you can just look and see stuff that’s a issue should anything happen

Good luck, I found it a bit nerve wracking, the hangover didn't help. Still got the return line to do!
