i dont really care for 80% tax on my fuel. they can shove it up theyre holes, i use veg to spite this dictatorship, nanny state, thought control labour government, i work hard and pay far too much tax on my income and everything i buy. this country is actually finnished now, all the clever people went to live in oz, nz, spain etc they saw it coming. all the filth of the world descend on britain we are all leaving. less tax payers more scroungers equals "even more tax for us" nah mate, come the revolution and im in control of britain there are going to be some changes round here. vive la revolution!!! . . . . . . . .
by the way veg oil is £8.99 for 20 litres, in macro

I have read this thread with a mixture of amusement and surprise. I cannot believe that some people on here could be so naive, actually bragging about how they are avoiding paying taxes.
Yes, I know alot of us already pay far too much tax on this, that and the other as it is, but unfortunately it is not up to the individual which tax they pay and which they dont....... unless of course you dont mind a little bit of time in jail?? for your dishonesty. which is what it is if you dont tell the tax man that you are using oil in your vehicle.
If you get caught, then dont come on here whinging about it, you know the risks of not declaring what you are doing and therefore should be ready for the consiquences should you get caught.
You have no idea who might be reading this forum, someone could very easily 'dob you in' who happens to work for the government.
As it happens, I work for Revenue and Customs ....... now the question is ....... which department do I work for and should I have a word with my boss??????

did you say you work for the waffen ss? i wont tell you who i used to work for its much more impressive.. plus i dont think most people care about being "dobbed in" as you say. thats the problem with this sinking ship, if the ss put as much effort into stopping crime as they do to ROB us people would pay their tax without fuss. thats just the way it is, not naivety.

No ........ I said I worked for Revenue and Customs
i wont tell you who i used to work for its much more impressive
I am sure it is .......... though to be honest I aint that interested.
dont think most people care about being "dobbed in"
In that case, they wont care when they get caught out then will they?
if the ss put as much effort into stopping crime as they do to ROB us people would pay their tax without fuss
if by ss you mean Revenue and Customs ...... it isnt there job to stop crime ........... it is their job to collect taxes .......... that are set out by the government that happens to be in charge at that time (nothing to do with us who work there .... we just do as we are told by the powers that be at that time)
BTW if you are going to pay your tax without any fuss how can you class that is being robbed ???? Even those that work in the revenue get taxed, it is not just you mate.

legalised theft ?? if everyone just sat down and and took it, they would rob us even more. 80 percent tax on fuel, whats all that about ??

if everyone paid what they should then the rest of us wouldn't be paying more to compensate, nobody likes paying tax, but by not paying your taxes you are stealing from every single honest person in this country. In my book this is as bad as any other kind of theft and you should be imprisoned for it.

attention all units, there are some people in campervans evading taxes by using vegetable oil to go to cornwall twice a year- orders are shoot to kill, repeat shoot to kill . . . . . the tax on veg oil is only 20% not 80% like diesel, these people must be shot on site ... and their fuel tank taken to the local chippy.

Grow up weazelchin and trundler .............. nobody likes paying taxes ...... but the honest ones among us do it.

Have to agree with Kev on that one.
I guess those that dont pay all the taxes that they should, are all in favour of shoplifters getting away with stealing from all the big shops then ....... after all, they are big shops with lots of profit and so can cover the cost of the loss of all the goods they get stolen from them over the year, cant they?
Well, yes they can, because they pass that cost on to the honest people who pay for their goods, by putting their prices up, might only be a few pence, but the cost of any loss is always passed on to the honest people, be it through shops or through your taxes.

so converting a van to lpg is ok then? even though the tax on lpg is less than veg oil, is that theft ???? or do we have to have permission off the self appointed thought police? before we use an environmentally freindly infinate fuel source? as it happens i only used veg twice and my night heater didnt like it, but the fact still remains britain has got the most disproportionate fuel tax in THE WORLD, and as a direct result of this people are finding alternative sources of fuel, good luck to you all. if you can remember the not too distant past, the country came to a standstill when everyone was behind the fuel tax strikes(fair play on fuel). i run a transport business and last year i payed enough tax to feed 1 million asylum seekers, when we go out of business and have to sack people because fuel tax is too high who keeps them on the dole(the tax payer) you. i wonder how many people go to france to buy proper priced wine? SAME THING I THINK, are they wrong too ?
