I'll try to bypass the fuel pump, as you said. The 2.1 would have been fuel injected so you may be onto something there...

I owe you beer Itchy, lots of it. Used a little syphon to bypass fuel pump, hey presto!

Well done, can't watch video till tomorrow.

All looks very neat and clean, top job.


It's common for the pumps to struggle to pull fuel through when pipes are dry, sometimes happens when left standing for a while too.

Worth doing the compression check as well as an oil pressure check and don't forget to set timing.

As I said (and for anybody else reading) need to provide as much info and pics as possible (although not war and peace) to get folk interested in helping :ok

Also on the carb return to tank pipe, why fit a filter there?
Not only not needed but potentially dangerous as it's plastic and above a hot engine.
