I'm considering getting a new alternator that takes the bolt on connections that way it will be easier to replace all the cables. I would like one of the ones like the bloke is selling on the Samba forum. Anyone going to make some in the UK?

Are Jay's kit that expensive and too ship to the UK? You have to make sure you order the correct kit as well.
The kit I got from Jay
Original harness
Could it really be that hard to come up with all that is needed for this harness or would it be cheaper to get the kit? Hope the pics help!

This vendor sells Jays stuff and they buy from Jed as well. Maybe Jed needs to import some of Jays kits to offer for sale?

Better in my view to do the lot and be done with it rather than only part of it . Once you add the shipping you might just as well buy all the parts and do all the main cables front to back yourself. It'll work out about the same - at least on this side of the pond.
Certainly if I was asked to do someone elses I'd just fit new bright copper throughout. Nothing wrong with Jay's kit but perhaps not economical if it still leaves stuff to replace.

A replacement alternator loom like that, plus the front to back main cable, does kinda fit in well with what both Jed and Si (T3volution) are stocking / doing.
